Project ReClaim

banner

Project Reclaim is an initiative by Kashmir Art Quest that aims to use arts as a medium of promoting awareness about the importance of taking ownership of public spaces and infrastructure. We wish to inspire responsibility and duty towards what essentially belongs to the people – public parks, sports arenas, roads, educational institutions, and so on. For years, a lot of such public property has been either lying vacant – gathering dust, or is underused, or used for other things such as accommodating security forces.

Kashmir Art Quest will invite artists to beautify and create artworks in the form of installations, murals, sculpture and graffiti in such public spaces with an aim to involve the local communities and encourage the use of such infrastructure for public good.

PHASE 1

RECLAIM | REPLAY | RELIVE

Bakhshi Stadium, Srinagar.

Proposal:

  • Create Graffiti on the entire boundary wall and inside the premises of the stadium.
  • Vacate Security forces from the stadium.
  • Throw open the stadium to public for various sports activities throughout the year without any restrictions.
