Phase 2 - Final Impressions - New Delhi

Phase 2 – Final Impressions – New Delhi

10 artists in New Delhi contributed to the project, Keep the Canvas Rolling, in New Delhi from 7th to 9th May. The canvas was hosted by the School of Arts and Aesthetics, Jawaharlal Nehru University.

The canvas has become a catalyst for dialogue as we envisioned – at the same time an artwork in the making – and a process worth documenting. Contributions are coming in not only in the form of painting and drawing, but also video, writings and performance. For the first time artists from all around the world are working on a single project interpreting Kashmir through the medium of visual arts.

Following artists were part of the project in New Delhi:
Ajit Kumar
Ashwani Gupta
Biplab Roy
Habiba Insaf (who was also the Kashmir Art Quest coordinator in New Delhi.)
Inder Salim
John Xavier
Prasanta Bandyopadhyay
Priyanka Kumar
Reecha Gupta
YS Alone

Next Stop: Guangzhou, China – where artists from different parts of the country with travel to FILL Platform in the first week of June.
